from what I hear he's fine with it, but Robert is the only person on earth you can't piss off, he fucking loves everything and everybody. He's a very kind, intelligent person, and I have never once heard of him being angry at anything or anyone.

I was slightly excited about this movie till I read the second post which mentions Bay's involvement.
Now I will discriminate against this movie with extreme prejudice. Bay is only capable of big explosions and lots of CG... he already ruined one popular franchise from my childhood... I guess he's hungry to ruin another.

Looks alright, I'll probably see it. I prefer the originals of course, but I do remember hearing about them making some type of "new" film for this series. Guess this is it, at least interesting to see a little more of what happened to him before he died. Though it was explained in the later movies.

Isn't Freddy being played by Rorsach (sp) himself Jack Earl Haley? He will do Freddy justice I think.

I liked Texas Chainsaw Massacre remake as well Noah, and I didn't mind the prequel, however it wasn't as good. I really just can't stand the fact they made made Freddy seem like a pussy (allegedly). The original series will always be superior to any remake that they can throw at us, but I still want and need to see it. I'm way too big of a Freddy fan not too, I mean look at my avatar.

I really hope they make a theme and picture pack, like they did for Friday the 13th. I would also love if they made a game based off the movie (it won't happen) or port the NES game to the arcade (yeah right, I'll keep dreaming....get it? Dreaming?)

I'm going to see it as soon as it hits theaters, I can't wait. I just hope it does the original series justice, or at least it serves as a good separate series, unlike the Halloween remakes.
