Nightmare on Elm street (Remake)
09/29/09 6:28 pm | #1
The trailer was released yesterday and it looks really good, BUT I have two problems with it so far. It seems like in the trailer they are making Freddy out to be innocent in the beginning and then he turns bad. He's also scared of the parents and runs away screaming "I didn't do anything!" where as in the original he spit in their faces smiling. Another thing is the make-up is a little weird looking, but if they keep him in the dark most of the time it won't be so bad. Anyway, here's the trailer, enjoy:

Also here is a really well written review about the remake:

damn that actually looks like a good remake and with michael bay workin on it it has a good chance. as for the makeup, it does look diff but it looks like they wanted to actually make him look like a burn victim and not just scary. i always thought that he was a zombie type thing when i was younger. he dont look like he got burned really.

other than the things I mentioned above I really can't wait to see this. I wish Robert Englund was doing it still, but atleast this guy is getting into it.

I'm with Mudkip I hate Bay too, but I can't ignore my hero Freddy, no matter what he looks like.

after watching this trailer like 20 times today I'm already used to what he looks like. He'll never be Robert Englund, but it's still better than nothing.

I was slightly excited about this movie till I read the second post which mentions Bay's involvement.
Now I will discriminate against this movie with extreme prejudice. Bay is only capable of big explosions and lots of CG... he already ruined one popular franchise from my childhood... I guess he's hungry to ruin another.

I agree I think they are just going to ruin this movie. Look at the new Halloweens?!! Those are the most garbage movies of this year. Lets just add to the list.

I've watched this trailer about 50 fucking times already. I know there has to be more people than this that can comment on this trailer.
