Stephen Totilo of MTV Multiplayer received confirmation in an interview with Microsoft Xbox Boss Don Mattrick that Bungie is indeed working on a new Halo game. Not Halo Wars, not the Peter Jackson Halo project, but a different Halo game. So apparently the puff of smoke at the end of the Bungie countdown timer that revealed the friendly message from Bungie Prez Harold Ryan was indeed supposed to be a revealing of a new Halo title for Microsoft.

ok I was really disappointed that Bungie did not release the news. And I am wondering what is the chance that this story is false? Because I am getting a little sick of halo..... unless it is a game like Myth but with halo characters

No chance on it being false. The story is real, just the details are lacking at this point. Good fodder for speculation though...

well i didnt play the first 2 so idk
well on the gunei forums people were going crazy over this SI dude and so i was searching around and found out this dude, spartan 071 (those were 3 typos he had made in his posts) and ofund out that dude didnt die. so i was tihnkin chief and cortana land on the legendary ending planet and find him and like 2-3 other survivor spartans. they end up facing a new species on the planet (like a very small species so not many people and like 1 or 2 big leader/s) and when oyu get through them you find the forerunners. they give you a ship and you fly back to earth while battling in space (like itd be a huge ship kinda like the length of 2 pelicans combined and as tall as Forward until Dawn (the huge thing on h3's sandtrap) and oyu fight like covenant on it. and its ending would show the ship getting half-destroyed and crashing into earth, thus leading onto halo 5
more money for Bungie as long as they would stay w/ ms
