NYKO announced that the new version of the Intercooler (the TS) is now shipping for both the Xbox 360 and the PlayStation 3. The Intercooler TS has undergone some changes that make it more efficient, smaller and better at controlling temperature using the TempSmart technology. TempSmart Technology and Dedicated Power Source Added to New Line of Intercoolers

LOS ANGELES - Nov. 6, 2008

Nyko Technologies, the premier gaming peripherals manufacturer, today announced that the new Intercooler TS line of game console cooling devices has shipped to stores. The top-of-the-line Intercooler TS series features all-new TempSmart technology that measures console air temperature and regulates air flow through the console in order to achieve an ideal operating environment. Available for the Xbox 360 and PLAYSTATION3, the aesthetic design of the Intercooler TS is specifically tailored to each console to providing a sleek-looking solution.

The Intercooler TS easily clips onto the back of the Xbox 360 or PLAYSTATION 3 and features powerful fans that move hot air away from the console. The new TempSmart technology automatically controls operation to ensure optimal ambient temperature for the console. In addition, a separate AC adaptor has been added to provide an independent power source, allowing the Intercooler TS to continue running and cooling the consoles sensitive components even after the console has been powered off.

The PLAYSTATION 3 version includes its own customizable cooling control with variable fan-speed, to help reduce noise while watching Blu-Ray movies or achieve maximum cooling at full speed during marathon gaming sessions.

I put the old Intercooler on my box from day 1, and (knock on wood) haven't had any problems yet.

This new one looks nice though, if I get another unit I'll probably stick this one on.

yeah i really liked that old intercooler, never had an issue but it did burn out just recently(me crushing it with my foot mighta been the problem too lol) so i might have to pick this guy up
