Nyko Technologies Ships Intercooler TS for the Xbox 360 and PLAYSTATION3
TempSmart Technology and Dedicated Power Source Added to New Line of Intercoolers
LOS ANGELES - Nov. 6, 2008
Nyko Technologies, the premier gaming peripherals manufacturer, today announced that the new Intercooler TS line of game console cooling devices has shipped to stores. The top-of-the-line Intercooler TS series features all-new TempSmart technology that measures console air temperature and regulates air flow through the console in order to achieve an ideal operating environment. Available for the Xbox 360 and PLAYSTATION3, the aesthetic design of the Intercooler TS is specifically tailored to each console to providing a sleek-looking solution.
The Intercooler TS easily clips onto the back of the Xbox 360 or PLAYSTATION 3 and features powerful fans that move hot air away from the console. The new TempSmart technology automatically controls operation to ensure optimal ambient temperature for the console. In addition, a separate AC adaptor has been added to provide an independent power source, allowing the Intercooler TS to continue running and cooling the consoles sensitive components even after the console has been powered off.
The PLAYSTATION 3 version includes its own customizable cooling control with variable fan-speed, to help reduce noise while watching Blu-Ray movies or achieve maximum cooling at full speed during marathon gaming sessions.
We have taken the concept that made the original Intercooler one of our most popular products of all time and incorporated consumer feedback and our own innovations into that design, said Chris Arbogast, Director of Marketing at Nyko Technologies. The result is an upgraded cooling solution for todays game consoles.
Nykos Intercooler TS for the Xbox 360 and PLAYSTATION 3 is available now for an MSRP of $34.99 for the PLAYSTATION 3 and $24.99 for the Xbox 360, while the Intercooler EX for Xbox 360, priced at $19.99, will continue to offer consumers a reliable yet affordable alternative for cooling their systems.
