It seems that to prevent cheating, players will not be able to join cross-game party chat while playing Call of Duty's ModernWarfare 2.

I saw an article about that on N4G a little bit ago. The way I see it, I think it means no party chat regardless of if the person is playing with you or not. I think they are trying to promote teamwork. Here is the article that I read: ClickMe

i disagree for the fact that all my friends that i want to talk to wont always be playing the same game as me OR in the same in game party so the party feature lets me talk to all of them. this is complete BS

'Tis fine with me.. I enjoy talking to people on gamechat. Before Party Chat I really had fun playing CoD4 more than after. If I don't like someone, I mute them.. Easily as that.

I'll believe it on November 10th. The article itself said that they contacted Activision to try to confirm it. But I'm with Orange, if it is real, I'm surprised Microsoft would give them permission to do that. Either way, I don't care. I'd rather not talk when I'm playing anyway.

Can someone tell me what kind of "cheating" this is supposed to prevent. I only play Headquarters so the only reason me & my friends go to party chat is if the room is full of D-bags that like to talk smack even though they just lost.
