Doesn't MS do ban waves every year though. I just think they took out a crap ton more people this year. I do think they've found a way to detect the firmware but I also think that 360 hackers will come out with a new firmware that is undetectable, and the dance will continue. You guys do know that some people with modded consoles actually buy their games right, and it does suck for those people, and MS is just pissing a lot of thier customers off. Plus MS is probably going to lose money no matter what because think of all of those xbox live subscriptions that aren't going to get renewed, 600,000 if that number is to be believed, is a lot of xbox live subscriptions.
If they're gonna buy games then they shouldn't have a modded console in the first place.

600,000 out of 20,000,000 is only 3%. For a company as large as Microsoft, they won't be hurting over losing 3% of their XBL subscribers.
