It depends, both have amazing graphics.

Mass Effect is more of a Shooter/RPG, while Bioshock is more of a Shooter/Hybrid.
Both are excellent games but if I could only play one it would be Bioshock.

I love, LOVE, both of these games! If you want replay value, then Mass Effect is the way to go. The only knock against Bioshock is that it wouldn't be fun to go through it again. I'm not going to go into spoiler land, (Top Dogs, I'm looking at you, you horrible person. :no:

) but after you go through the Bioshock story once, you can't get the feeling back.

If you want a game where you are completely immersed in sight, sound, and stress level, Bioshock is what you want. I jumped a few times while playing this game, and that doesn't happen, ever.

Believe me, you can't make a bad decision between these two games, IMO! Enjoy!

You'll get 1100/1100 much faster in BioShock than 1050/1050 in Mass Effect.

In BioShock, you'll only need 1-2 playthroughs to get everything (as long as you know ahead of time what to look for), whereas in Mass Effect, you'll need 3-5 playthroughs to get everything.

BioShock is an underwater (albeit indoors) horror FPS, whereas Mass Effect is a outer space RPG --- they're both MUST BUYS. I'd get BioShock first, then get Mass Effect later.

The best way to play BioShock is: at night, alone, in total darkness, with the sound up. The setting, music, sound effects, gameplay, and atmosphere are superb for creating that 'scary, creepy' sensation!!!

well my decision was made easy. they didnt have mass effect at my store so i got bioshock. im not playing it oh hard right away tho, like i did last time.

ok so i am loving my play through of bioshock and im just wondering how much further do i have to go until i beat it. im playing it on easy and im in the garden a bit after my second reward for saving the little sisters. its taken me about 3 hrs to get there. so am i about halfway or not even close. im just wondering bc it seems like i have a lot of upgrading to do yet and idk if i get to keep my upgrades for another play through or what?

You're probably about a quarter of the way through at that point.And no you don't get to keep your upgrades for the next playthrough.
