Mad sony's fan

ok capcom joined the latest in a string of announcements from various companies when it said that one of its upcoming games, Devil May Cry 4, would now be going multiplatform.

But some sony's fan are mad and going boycott capom and they are making a petition

why are they so mad at capcom for? they just want to make money

would you be that mad a bungie if they make halo for nintendo or sony?

The answer to your question is that Sony fanboys are basically getting bad news after bad news this generation and some are just whining loudly. If anyone is to blame, it is Sony for not securing exclusivity agreements with their third party software developers.

As for your example, it has a flaw because Bungie is a First Party company (Owned by MS) and Capcom is third party. Capcom is not stupid, they see that the 360 and the PS3 are both worthy units. With no contact calling for exclusive development, it would be foolish on their part to ignore a burgeoning sector.

I would love to see my lil' ol' Mario jumping his way into some sweet achievements on my 360, but alas, he is a Nintendo baby and the world will end if Nintendo lets him go multi-platform.

I really don't understand all of the complaining that goes on when a game goes to other consoles. I choose to play it on the console I want, and could care less about another person's choice of consoles.

I will probably own a PS3 by the end of the year just because I really want to play the new Ratchet & Clank game with my son, so I really can't say I am loyal to any game system.

I just buy them all eventually! Woohoo, video games rule, even at 33 years old.

It's a hypothetical question though, so it doesn't really matter that Bungie is owned by MS. As for answering your question, no, I wouldn't be upset. I could see how some people could be if the specific game was what had been the deciding factor to choose that console. If I had bought a 360 because of Halo and Halo became multi-platform, I would be disappointed. If I had known it was going to happen, maybe I'd have decided to go with a ps3 or Wii instead.

Many gamers are overly loyal to their console/brand. I see no reason why gamers of other consoles shouldn't be able to enjoy the same games if the developers choose to let them. The only other down side I can see is the possibility that the game for your console might not be quite as perfected as it could've been if the developers were developing for one specific console.

Actually, that matters completely. You won't find any SOE (Sony Online Entertainment) games crossing to the Xbox 360 and you wont find any Xbox 360 1st party titles from Rare, Bungie, Ensemble, Turn 10, FASA Interactive, Lionhead, Massive or any third party games published by Microsoft Game Studios such as games from Bizzare and Bioware to name a few.

I would get really mad if halo was a multi-consol I guess maybe because I am a fanboy and I really think that each title should have there own games that are awesome for just there console(final fantasy, mario, and halo), but as you guys said it is a 3d party game so I guess they have the rights to do what they can to make money.

You completely missed my point. For the purpose of this thread, it doesn't matter. It was a hypothetical question. It's not meant to be a real world scenario. He was using an example so all of us could relate to what the people with ps3's are experiencing.

well Microsoft owns bungie so thats impossible

and for Devil May Cry 4...stop complaining...its not like Capcom is going to make exclusive 360 title anymore..Lost Planet was like the last of the exclusives...and by boycotting it...then capcom will be forced to focus on MS and nintendo since they aren't making any off sony

I think the day and age of console exclusive games is over (except for !st party games). If a gamemaker can make more money by pimping out his/her software do your thing! People have to eat you know
