Yeah it seems in todays world kids have a lot more given to them without giving anything/respect in return. If I was an asshole to my mom as a kid my dad would have whooped my ass!!!

You aint lying, that is the truth...When I was growing up, ANYTHING I wanted, I had to work to buy. I remember my first gameboy I bought, I was mowing yards and raking leaves and all kinds of shit to get it...Same thing with my sega, and N64 and that's not including the non-gaming materials I wanted.
I'm glad my parents did that, it taught me responsibilty.
I have always had the fear of god put in me by my mom, lol...she threw a frying pan at me one day because I mouthed off to here, mind you that she was cooking eggs at the time. But she is my best friend and i love her to death, same goes for my dad. I have their respect and they have mine.

Kids should respect both there parents at all times, especially the mother, people can argue the fact with me all they want but the truth is the mother's are the back bone of the family, and need there dues.

Its been the same way with me forever. Occasionally I could try to act all sweet and cute and get something, especially from the grandparents. Except it was my grandpa that I was always scared of instead of my mom. She was second, ha.

I thought my grandma was the devil for the longest time...and I thought she had Keebler Elves in her purse making wooden spoons...When I was little my mom would spank me with a wooden spoon and everytime she would break one miraculously my grandma would have a spare in her purse
