How much could I get for trading in these games?

I'm trading in these games for Halo 3:

Tony Hawk's Project 8

Dead Rising

Oblvion.

I already have $56 for the game, so how much do you think I would get if I traded in at least one of these games at GameStop?

They are giving 30% extra towards Halo 3 pre-orders. I wouldn't expect more than $30 for all three. Oblivion and Dead Rising have dropped in price dramatically. Dead Rising is now a Platinium Hit, so it is $30 brand new. Oblivion now has the game of the year addition with the expansion packs, so the regular addition has dropped. Tony Hawk 8...I am not sure, but I would trade it in very soon since Proving Ground is coming out!

If you trade in four to gamestop you get 10 percent extra trade-in. And if you have the gamestop card you get that extra percent too. That's all I can tell you. I got almost all my money back from Bioshock.

edit: I got Dead Rising for about twenty-four dollars. So I'd say you'd be lucky to get like 10 or 15 for it.

Stores will rob you blind....You pay 59.00 for a game and then say you beat it in a day and try to trade it in. And the store will give you 20 dollars for it. The next day rolls around and they have your game for 45 used. I guess thats the nature of the beast. others on this site are aware of the trade in deals going on. Myself on the other hand will sell games on ebay or craigslist. Or even yardsale it. I had even seen once at a gamestop a young kid trade in 3 games for 25 dollars. The dad was floored..I explained to the dad how trade in's work. The guy behind the counter even said it's not right. Needless to say the child wanted the game and the dad looked at me and said 'this is bull'. I said its called supply and demand.

Yeah, you get raped on trade-ins most of the time. I'm gonna try and trade in some old XBox games to see if I can get some extra money towards Halo 3, but I doubt if I'll even get ten bucks.

Yeah, I know, but my old xbox is modded and the yard sale season is officially over around here, so I figured might as well get rid of them. Hey, at least they might cover the tax on Halo 3 :baffled:

Morrowind is messed up when you play it on a 360 console because it uses the black and white buttons and the 360 doesn't have those. =/ I might trade it in along with Battlefront. I have Morrowind on PC anyways (plus I have mods installed for the PC version)

A lot of old xbox games use the black and white buttons. But, that's what the Left and Right bumpers are for.

Do what I did. Call your local game store and ask them over the phone how much you'll get for each game. It'll save you a trip to the store to find out!
