I can't seriously believe that the American public doesn't want a change in the government that has wasted away the surplus that was left by the last non-republican administration, left us with a bigger debt than before, botch the entire Hurricane Katrina rescue and relief, Kept us in a war that supposedly was won 6 years ago with a "Mission accomplished" speech and as lie about weapons of mass destruction.

They had 8 years, let go and give someone else a shot......hell even if it not a democrat, a independent even, anybody but a republican and McSame

Hate to say it but at this point our votes might not even matter. Elections have been rigged before and will be again.

America has always had the illusion of safety because we don't have the bus or subway terrorist attacks that happen in other countries... That has nothing to do with the war or the current leadership.

There were terrorist attacks against the US all over the world leading up to 9-11. Since we cracked down on them the attacks on the US have stopped. The attacks on other countries are all part of the same radical muslim gihad against 'Westerners'.

Seperately -

We are in Iraq because we left that country in shambles completely destroying its government and infrastructure. If we left now we would be allowing regimes that are unfriendly to control the oil and wealth of that country probably to attack us directly. It sucks ass, but that is why we can't just pick up and go.

Exactly - we were all suckered into it. No matter what anyone says we were all pretty gung ho in the begining when we thought there was actually a threat.

I think we should keep opinions like that out of this thread, conspiracy theorys' are not cool at all.

And to the person that said Palin should not be VP because she said that she does not know what a VP does, thats just dumb! She is a very smart lady and she can easy figure it out she has the right background she has been a governor of a state for two years.

O and just to let you guys know even though I am a Alaska resident(living in ohio because of military, but still a AK resident) that is not the reason I like Palin I like her because of the things she has done and how much she plans to do, she is the perfect person for VP.
