holla
i have met a few people on xbox live though that don't care about girls being on there which is cool but for the most it's horrible (specially the ones that add you before you've even played a single match) i'm not counting the people on xba that you tell to add you just the ones that notice you're a girl right away
well about the pms thing, i do feel really bad when i'm pmsing but i don't tell a whole room full of people hahaaaaa just my bf
i joined gamerchix but they ain't as fly as the xba site hahah they just kinda talk about being lesbians, their kids, or problems on xbl other than that it's kinda boring
nice post

Lmao; while reading those descriptions, I could think of at least one girl that has been in one of my rooms that meets each one. Meg, you know you just wanna chill with us like Raine; screw GamerChix!

now not all is bad about gamerchix. i agree some of them are attention whores and sometimes the forums are annoying. i joined them because at the time i knew no other female gamers and my female roomates thought i was a loser for gaming. basically i just wanted to meet some girls who didnt think i was a loser for gaming. the trash talk thing doesnt bother me cuz i never use the mic so nobody can hear my trashtalking except my neighbours lol. i dont use the mic b/c if everybody heard what i had to say about there skills then id have a half star rating lol. the nice thing about being in gamerchix is a) the threads about help for a particular game dont get spammed so quickly with people calling you a noob and b) you cant write about non-gaming stuff. although i dont see why there cant be a non gaming forum for everybody on xbox.com but whatev. i liked how you mentioned not using female characters. i thought i was the only girl who usually played as a guy character. i just dont like how the girl character normally are all dressed up with makeup and bikinis and jewelry. thats not me so i dont play a character like that. gta multiplayer is the first time ive played a female character cuz shes wearing a baggy shirt and a baseball cap finally something comfy that i would actually wear.

thanks for writing that. i hate that these types just make it worse for everyone else. My problem i really have is all the guys that just wont leave girls be. my friend(girl) loves to play games of all types and she also likes to go online every once in awhile but the things that get said to her just because she's trying to play the game(she is a normal person playing doesn't seem to fall into any of the above negative categories) is horrible. it really hurts me that she(or any normal female) can't go online when they want and do what they want comfortably. i just like to play and i could care less who is on the other end of the asswhooping hahaha

well I don't run into as many problems as I used to but I think that's mainly because I play with the same people or about the same people

I have to say that I have not really come into contact with gaming with a chick...well let me take that back, I played with one during a session of attack & defend on Rainbow Six Vegas and I fragged her arse along with everyone else out there. I don't have any experience with gaming with chicks ( that would sound so bad if this was a different topic, haha ) so I don't feel like I have the right to give proper feedback.
But other than that, good post Raine

Interesting thread.
Out of my 30+ friends, only one is a female gamer. I met her on an online forum a while back, but I played Halo 3 with her once and she was a very solid gamer. Struck me as a very level-headed player, probably like Raine and Meg are, which makes her someone I enjoy gaming with.

Okay so I guess I'll give my 2 cents. Guys on XBL who ask about a girls "boobs" and such are probably under the age of 21 and still have the "puberty" horomone running threw their veins. I'm 27, played with numerous girl gamers, and have never asked personal questions. Maybe I'm just "mature" or maybe just have standards and respect for people.
Now about the Hotness factor, if a girl is a 6 outta 10 (just looks), and she plays video games, that bumps her up a couple points in my book. Looks are not everything, but if you have a average looking girl who plays video games, that makes her not average, that makes her UNIQUE!!!!
Finally, the girls that starve for attention on XBL (i've never met one) are once again probably under the age of ummm say 18 (girls mature faster then males, or so they say).

I have several girls on my friends list. They don't get treated any differently than anyone else.
I only remember one girl that got on my nerves. I was playing Gears and she would always be saying crap like (oh, I bet you have a big ****, I wish you were here to play with my *****) a couple of rounds of that and she had all of the boys all worked up. I would kill her and she would be like (oh, TK why are you so mean to me) Well we are playing a frick'n FPS you stupid *****
