Home Recent Posts 'Tooltips'

On the ideas page, the latest user to post in the thread was requested for the homepage. I didn't want to have to include another column in there and have to make all the text smaller or cut off even more of the thread titles. My solution was to make small tooltips when you hover over the links. They give a little tidbit of information about the thread.

A few sentences of the 1st or most recent post is also a possibility for these tooltips. Any thoughts?

I like them a lot. Although they are covering up the main link to the thread for me at least in FF.

Really? What version of Firefox? On Firefox 2.0.0.1 on Windows they appear off to the right. Can you try clearing your cache, and refreshing and see what it looks like then?

I just refreshed and that did the trick. I think it was probably because I was on the site when you were making the changes. I love tooltips! W00T!

Yea, I think you're right. I have a bad habit of usually developing right on the live copy of the site.

Hell yeah, tool tips rock.
Now if there was a way to have a persons rank in the leaderboard and member number pop up when you scroll over them (roll over there active user name I mean), maybe even what state they are from.

But I won't complain, this site already has a butt load of awesome things working at once. 360voice,bb code,polls, RSS updates,..now we just need strippers on candy cane poles and we'll be set.
