Heavy Weapon

Anyone else pick up this arcade title?

It's loads of fun! The missions do get more difficult as you go through.
The online with 4 players is well, A LOT of action! It's hard to tell where you are, but the excitement of trying to survive is cool.

I have only played the up to the first Gas station, but I couldn't shake this feeling that I have played this type of game before. For some reason it reminds me of that old arcade game where you played as a moon rover type of vehicle that had to shoot vertically while jumping over moon craters and other things.

Man, I can't remember the name of that game, but I used to play the heck out of that game.

I kept firing at the darn helicopter though, LOL, thank goodness it only brought up the "do not shoot me" symbol and didn't come plummeting down. I felt like the first boss was way too easy though. I didn't die at all up to that point, so I have dual cannons, and he was brought down very fast for some reason. I hope you are right, that the missions increase in difficulty at least a little bit.

I believe you are referring to Moon Patrol.

OMG, that is it. 1982 - geesh - the good old Commodore 64. I wish I would have never sold that system. But, doesn't it remind you of that same game from the past?

Not really. I don't have to jump my tank of the craters or anything funny like that. Plus the graphics don't resemble it in any way (although, I did play my share of Moon Patrol) You are able to upgrade your weapons after each level and the online play is very INSANE but is loads of fun.

I'm still waiting for the port of Ninja from the TRS-80!!

Always glad to help in the Retro area as I played quite my share of the oldies!

To think, Pasta was not even a thought during the games we played (zoboa, you, me, and I'm sure a few more now)
