Braid has been getting some great reviews. If anyone on here has played it I'd like to know what you think.

I played the demo. You will have to try it for yourself to be sure, but I thought that if it was 800pts., I wouldn't hve thought twice! good game!

Well, I like puzzle games! I think that innovation is a hard sell, but I can dig style! I just don't want to give MS a licence to tag random games @ 1200 points!

I'm hardly knocking innovation! It wasn't a BAD game, exactly, but unlike SOME PEOPLE I don't go around buying every arcade game that comes around... And I won't pay 1200 for a game if it still has 200 achieves!
I like puzzle games, but... is that what this was?

In the sense that Portal was a puzzle game, (minus the humor!) action puzzle with a twist!!
I totally agree with you on yhe fact that if the game is gonna be enough to warrant a 1200pt. ($15) price tag, Let's get some incentive!
500 achievement points, or a game that is undeniably worth the price!
The price will recede, but will anyone remember...

I loved the game but I agree it was too expensive for the 200 points. The only reason I bought it was because target has a sale on 1600ms points for $14.99 so you are basically buying the game plus 400 free points in a way.

No I wish I had the game!! I don't disagree with anyone's choice to get it!! I will get it when the price comes down! I'm just sad to see a regular XBLA game cost 1200 pts.

I bought Braid right away, I very much like artsy/weird/unusual games.
It has fun platforming and time-manipulating elements, like Super Mario World with some Prince of Persia powers. I wouldn't recommend it to everybody but I enjoy it a lot.
Figuring out how to get some of the pieces will twist your brain in unholy, Kafka-esque directions.
PS: I hate people that use the phrase "Kafka-esque"
PPS: From my own experience plus what I have heard a lot of, the Trial version doesn't do the full thing justice. There were a bunch of people on EvAv that didn't like the Trial much but played the full one later and enjoyed it. Still, I say if all you have to go on is the Trial version and you effing hate the Trial version, then don't bother with the full one.

The PS3 has $40 downloadable games, do you think Microsoft is trying to wean us onto that with this?

I believe you have to own a Mac to use the term "Kafka-esque"
I've heard the same thing, that the trial doesn't do it justice.
