I find gh3 easier than gh2 because I can adjust the speed of hyperspeed. (yes i play on hyperspeed 5 it's the fastest )

i like gh3 better bc of the online, battles and better graphics..but my fingers hurt after a few songs on medium, before i could play the crap out of medium and not get nearly as tired as gh3 now

2 was great but I like 3 better as well.
Stay with it Meg, when I was first going through GH3 it seemed much, much harder and that it would be impossible on Hard and Expert. But I found that my skills grew pretty quickly, and not ramping up--they just popped in somehow.
There was one night I kept failing "The Metal" on Hard at around 37%, like 10+ times (i think that was when i got that Achievement). But the next night I came back and not only finished that song but also finished the tier and moved on to the next.
I have found that, if you want to get 'good' at Guitar Hero, play at the threshhold of your abilities. Don't stick with songs/difficulties that you can hit 96% of the notes on. Move it up to where you are failing a song during the 'hard' part(s). Keep at it until you are sick of it, pass it, or your fingers cramp up, then crank it back down.
Also, a good way to 'prepare' for the big jump from Medium to Hard is to play Medium on Hyperspeed 2 or 3. Once you get used to that and can 5-star everything on Med, it won't be so bad when you get in to Hard and turn HS off because you will feel like you have more time to react to the position-changes for the Orange button.
Last thing, for everyone: don't "play through the pain" if your hand starts cramping up; rest it for a little while

----I agree, whats the point of putting in a bunch of songs that people can't beat. I need 4 more songs to beat all 5* Hard, but there insane.
