My game freezes on El Daba everytime when it goes to load. I have heard problems like this all over the xbox.com forums and I'm pretty sure the dashboard update cause them. Something involving the coding and even some people complained about getting 3 red lights from the update.My question is, if I use the unlock all levels cheat and skip the one that freezes will I still get achievements as I go?

yes, after I typed in the cheat I skipped around missions and still got the achievments.

Ignore any tool that claims they got three-red-lights from any Dashboard update.

The three red lights is hardware related, not software. If any one person received three-red lights from a software upgrade, then EVERY single person that got teh update would also get them as the 360 is a controlled environment (unlike a PC).

Try and dump your cache, as this in the past has been the root cause of many a game and freezing issues.

Also, your machine has been toeing the line for awhile (with freezing), it is getting ready to kick.

Actually my machine has been doing great. I posted in another thread about the PDZ disc. IT WAS the disc. I exchanged it for a new copy and it has no problems whatsover. All my other games load fine. My friend that lives about 10 houses down beat cod2 on veteran awhile ago. Tell me why he tried to load a map yesterday and it froze during single player and the disc is in perfect condition and hasn't been played in a month? It worked wonderful when he went through on veteran the first time. I dont know, it seems every update they have to fix something(which should of been put out from day one) something goes wrong with hardware/software.

How do I delete the cache? (dont say hold a when game loads because that doesnt solve the problem;)

Here is the way to dump the cache straight from the Horse's Mouth. (Xbox Console Dev team). This is from the forums:

Actual Steps:

-Go to the system blade and then memory.

-Press Y on either the HDD or a MU and then press X,X,Left Bumper, Right Bumper, X,X.

-Once you do this a blade will pop up saying: This will perform maintenance on your Xbox 360 storage devices. Do you want to continue? Pick yes or no.


By doing this, you will impact your system based on what was in the link above.

Not very long to dump the cache, but you will probably have to download everything from Live once you do. Check this link for details....It is from a mod on the Xbox forums and is pretty detailed.

I just wanted to let everyone know I stayed up all night and finished COD2 on veteran at 8:50AM!!!!!!!! Almost broke my controller ALOT during the gameplay but I held myself together:D

Jeez! I can not get past D-Day. Though I got a new 360, my game saves are still there (just for CoD2). I tried a couple times on D-Day and just cant do it. Any tips or walkthroughs? Cheats? HELP!?

I have a cheat to unlock all levels, at the level select screen hold both bummpers and then click left, left,right, right, down, down

that should help you get by D-day

Well, like I said, my game saves are still there. I have all levels beaten on Normal, and all levels before D-Day beaten on Veteran mode.

So that should help too much.
