yes they are .. you have to play hardcore to unlock insane, i played hardcore and got those and the casual achievements.... you have to basically just play hardcore/insane you don't have to play casual...............

She is correct!! If you're not very good though, you might want to play casual anyway! It's a good campaign and I enjoyed every runthrough I did!! (Except for the mine carts on insane! GGGRRRRRRR!!!!:growl

I have 165 gernade tag kills and 189 curb stomps and i still have yet to get those acheivements, but I got the headshot, chainsaw, sniper, and execution acheivements right at 100. anyone know why?

The leader board is soooo glitched. I got my Grenade tags at 150 something, but my pistol kills at around 65.

I played through gears twice, once on casual and once on Insane. I never did at any time play on Hardcore. You unlock Insane when you beat the game on casual or hardcore.

Revives and chainsaws are tha only ones that I got at 100! Frags took me til over 200! The rest were about 130 or so!
If you are playing now to get the achievements, It will take you longer because back in the day, people didn't quit as much as they do now. I haven't played a match in months that has ended with 8 players!! Thats why you aren't getting the achievements!

The reason they do it is because you respawn and get get 20-50 kills easy in Annex if you play with less-than-average players. Although I do agree with you, a notice should pop up when you search for an Annex game saying something like, "Kills in Annex do not count toward the Weapon or Seriously... achievements."
