just for fun, here's a short interesting read.
http://www.scientificamerican.com/article.cfm?id=why-do-we-dream
anyway, feel free to post your dreams. if you remember any, that is.
the craziest one that i can remember happened a month or so before mothership zeta lol. my wife and i were living in the wasteland with a little group of people in something like a junk yard. some raiders broke through a wall and all hell broke loose. we escaped and found our way into a skyscraper and the door locked behind us. the interior was very complicated, and along one wall was tons and tons of doors. they all led into really small (but clean) rooms, and every room had a closet. inside every closet was a paradise. the one we opened had stairs leading down to a beach with people dancing and having a good time.
anyway, turns out we were actually on a spaceship and the ship had a GECK. all the aliens looked the same except for the leader, who for some reason was will ferrell LOL. we told him we didn't want to be there, and he started chanting "i will not live in a world with no play" over and over again. the ship took off for space and then i woke up.
it was pretty awesome.

i think my wierdest gaming dreams were after i had 1k'd l4d. i had to take a hiatus after doing that. not because i didnt like playing l4d, but because i had done those campaigns and stuff SO MANY TIMES (especially on expert, i suffered through ALL of them fully on expert. idk how many hours of my life were wasted on that...) and id like randomly hear a hunter scream or tank music in my sleep. it was rather creepy...but then again, most of those dreams put me in a l4d scenario, so it does sorta make sense...but i mean really, randomly hearing a hunter scream is creepy either way lol
anybody else randomly hear the achievement sound during the day? i do sometimes...and for some reason everytime i do i look around or down (usually down, cause when im playin i kinda look up at the screen and then have to look down at the bottom of the screen to see what the achievement was)

I usually don't remember many of my dreams but I actually had a wacky dream just the other night after playing Prototype for a couple hours before going to bed. It was like a cross between Prototype and L4D. I was with a group of survivors trying to make it through the night and the some of the zombies had powers like Alex Mercer. It was the most vivid dream I've had in years. I remember seeing a school bus drive by jam packed with corpses and random body parts.

Way back when, I used to play a text-based MUD (sort of a proto-MMO) called GemStone III, and myself and the couple friends I had that also played it were obsessive. I would literaly have spurts of dreams in text.
I remember one time specifically waking up in the middle of a tense battle and the text lines slowly faded into the blinds over my window.
Man, that freakin' Achievement notification sound, I hear that way too often, especially in electronic music or in the background of commercials. It actually gets me all excited for a moment. I'm a broken, conditioned Pavlovian gamer

Wow, I used to play GS3 myself Rev....lol
I hear achievement notification sounds all the time when I'm not playing the xbox, when I am, when I sleep. Its nuts.
I also have had plenty of crazy dreams about the games I have been playing. Usually with the FPS games especially. I had plenty of L4D dreams when I was playing that one....those were fun
