My bro and me are thinking about signing up 4 gamefly. For all you users is it a good idea to? Is it more cost eficient than purchasing games?

jen and i used it for awhile but canceled it.
i like to own my games, and she has tons of games i own that she hasn't played.
it's worth it if you don't buy alot of games but want to play alot i supposed lol.

I've recently tried it and I dislike it. I'm not saying the idea of it isn't awesome but very slow shipping. If you lived in the same state as a GameFly warehouse then I'm sure it would be great.

I'll be cancelling my GF account this month.... they only send you games from your queue that are available at the time they mail out, which is usually the older/ not as fun games. It's a cold day in hell when gamefly sends you a new release. True they do have rare games that might be hard to track down locally... other wise the service is kind of a flop for me since I have unlimited game rentals at hollywood video. Jus my 2 cents.

I like gamefly alot. I live in the middle of nowhere and it usually takes 3 days lolz. But I can wait, I'm fairly patient (not). But it's a good money saver if you don't wanna buy crappy games.

it's more cost efficient if you burn through games with no intent to replay them and if Best Buy doesn't markdown a shitload of them to $10.oo like they did this week. idk, i had it, but they were shipping them from the west coast out to me on the east coast and it was like 10-14 days before i got a game and half the time the game wouldn't even arrive. there are supposedly more warehouses now than when i was a member but i have so many games i haven't played, i'm thinking of starting my own rental service. i'm done with gf.

I stoped buying on a "collective status" recently. I only get the games i TRULY want. So when i see or hear of stuff that looks good, but trash to buy i rent it from gamefly. Or when something new comes out thats looks okay, but not worth the buy like the new 50 cent for example, ill rent that. And all you people who complain about shipping, that sucks for you, i live in michigan, and i always get games in like 2-3 days. And my post office has the scanner for the fast return feature. So hours after i take to the post office, gamefly receives confirmation that i mailed, and out comes my next games. I like gamefly. Its worth it. Make sure you keep your Q short, cuz they will mail the crap at the bottom of your list.

I live in the Chicagoland area so I expect it should be fairly quick. I don't want to spend 60$ on a brand new game and never playit
