Microsoft announced today that Galaga Legions, another Namco Bandai update of the classic coin-op from the creators of Pac-Man CE, will be available this Wednesday on Xbox Live Arcade. The game will cost 800 Microsoft points and be available for download at 5 a.m. EST. This looks to me like it could be another sleeper if you can stomach the 800 point price.

Galaga Legions will be shooting onto Xbox LIVE Arcade this Wednesday, August 20, 2008 at 9 a.m. GMT (2:00 a.m. PDT).

Galaga Legions is not just another boring remake! The same award-winning team that brought you Pac Man Championship Edition has created a revitalized game that features table-turning game dynamics, super slick visuals, and mind-blowingly vast waves of enemies. Galaga Legions is the ultimate version of the arcade shooter classic!

Developed and published by Namco Bandai Games., Galaga Legions will be available for 800 Microsoft Points worldwide and is rated E for Everyone by the ESRB.

Actually that is still cheap for a game. With Castle Crashers and some of the other XBLA specifically developed titles going for 1200, this is still a bargain at $10...
