Finally today I broke down and picked up a copy from Circuit City (and with a 10% discount!!) As soon as night falls and the kids are in bed, I'm gonna get naughty! (playing the game, of course)

well, i'd have to say that this really didn't feel too much like a GTA game...past GTA games have had a kinda go-anywhere-do-anything feel to them, and even though the new GTA is a lot more realistic, the old GTAs (especially San Andreas) were a lot more involving...the new GTA is missing a lot of stuff that i was looking forward to, such as customizing cars, a vast environment to play in, and all the random fun side missions.

On the other hand, i thought the more realistic gameplay was also a HUGE + to the game. The previous GTAs were fun and all, but never really an intense game, just an arcadey game worth a good while of playing and a few laughs. This new game ins much more intense, and has an intriguing storyline than ever before. I also like how instead of a "taking over the world" standpoint, it's more like trying to survive and being dragged further and further into crime just to do so.

In a sense of GTA, i can see how this game disappointed a bunch of people, but as a new direction for this series, i firmly agree with a solid 10/10
