That "I haven't played them in a month" excuse is a lame one. Its like saying "I stole that car a month ago! How can you arrest me now?!"

no mike your simile is whats lame. stealing a car, is WAY different then what im saying. ive BOUGHT/RENTEd the games ive recently played, and ive gave those crackers their money. tbh, they dont have a right for banning people for stuff WE PAY THEM FOR! and then after the banning, they still expect you to pay! (this is more towards those people who do the monthly payment thing) which is totally stupid. now, getting banned off ps3's live thing (whatev its called) i can see, as its free and came w/ the system

but MS has some real guts to ban people for something we PAY to use...thats like banning someone from WoW, but still expecting them to pay the monthly fees or whatev to keep it...its stupid, its greedy, and im not really sure how legal that is.

but ill stop my rant, kinda in an...odd mood, i guess would be the best way to put it...i dont really feel good, or like 'me' i guess id say...ive been ranting bout stuff for like alot of the day...most of it mentally, as debating in school is so lame because teachers/students always stop em before they start...so, no fun there

im just going to go get me some kool-aid, and turn my ranting rage into viscious attacks in gow2...good thing they have new/"crunchier"/viscious executions in gow2.,...makes it seem more fun...

You can still use Live and your account even if it's a console ban. You just have to buy a new xbox

Its the same basic concept. The both of them are stealing, and they both happened a month before but action was taken at a later date. I'm not trying to argue with you but its true. You're acting like because something is in the past it has no meaning now. Sorry, but its not that way. I'm not saying it is the burning of the games that got you banned, but I'd bet it was. If it turns out that its not, then good for you.

+1 on the stealing. It is theft unless you own the game (renting doesn't count) and what would the point be if you owned the game?

I agree 100%. Even if you only have one burned game and you only played it once, I think MS should have every right to Perma-ban you. I'm on Microsoft's side on this one.

its not stealing. stealing involves real life. example a: picpocketing someone, is usually stealing whatevers in their back pocket. b: breaking into a store of whatever kind, and taking something then leaving. c: (which oddly enouch c: looks like a very happy face, or a cow face, whereas :c looks like a sort of suprised face or very sad face...hmm..) taking something by force (like a box from a mans hands, or the keys to some dudes car)

stealing is usually secretly too. burning games isnt stealing. the website is out on the internet, along with 238i4720457287 other sites. doesnt sound very secretive about it...

either way, i still dont see how they could tell if a console was modded...

and mike, because something happened in the past could have no meaning. this is a lil ot,but lets say as a kid you used to be able to bake anything. but then, around 12 years old, you quit. youre now around 30-40, and you wanna bake something. and you did terrible. your past cooking skills had no meaning in your failure at baking. so yea, the past can, and usually does, have no meaning...i could go into loads more examples, even a personal one (well, sorta personal) or two i could say. but sadly, im not in the mood to argue w/ a stuck up snobby stubborn cocky lil brat, who somewhat reminds me of my dad in thinking he's always right. have a nice day ;)

Taco,

Even though I agree with you on most of the stuff you said I just have one note.... and btw I don't mind how you type I think its fun to figure out what you are saying...:D

I have a friend of a friend(no I haven't met him but suffice it to say this isn't a joke or an urban legend - my friend freaked because he had downloaded stuff himself) who is currently doing the tail end of 5 years in prison for burning original xbox games and dvds and having a site on the internet. He also had this wonderful idea to sell them (which netted him the 5 years instead of 2) but you can go to jail for burning dvds and cds and xbox games. Its not quite the same as stealing a car I agree, but you are taking something that people made and getting it for free when you aren't supposed to. I think its freaking stealing to start charging 60 dollars per game instead of 50, but I still won't burn a game.... I will wait til I can buy them for like 5-10 bucks from Gamestop used and play games that are really old :p Wait did I get off subject?

I am sorry to hear you got banned though :(

dude no offense but if your playing burnt games, your lucky your not in jail. if youve ever read a game disc or dvd it says right on them that making a copy of a disc is strictly prohibited. so if thats why you were banned then you desereved it. burning a game is stealing, its taking money from the makers.
