Anyone else into Mathcore?
Anyone else into Mathcore?
Is that like hardcore calculus? or maybe trigonometry? with heavy guitar riffs?
I listen to almost everything - not really a fan of country although I like a few songs - as long as I like the lyrics or I can sing it

Along those same lines, my girlfriend got really excited about playing XBLA until she found out Geometry Wars didn't involve any actual math.
She thought it was going to be a game that somehow used competitive computational skills & problem solving.
I said, "Well, if you look at it from a very broad point of view, there is a lot of geometry going on"

The programmer who made it was part of the project gotham racing development team and working out of a garage. I'm sure he named it that after he had to brush up on his geometry skills... either that or isocoles triangles drove him crazy..

Primarily indie, rock, post-hardcore etc. I would rather die than listen to country. It makes my ears bleed.

Pretty much anything except for Country.
I do not consider rap and techno actual music, but I hate them too.
My favorite is definitely Metal or Hard Rock, like Metallica, Megadeth, Mastodon, Iron Maiden, and Disturbed, but like I said, I pretty much like anything.

That, my friend, would be an awesome game.
Agree! (I'm such a math geek)
Growing up my favorite band was Megadeth....I even dragged my dad to a concert when I was 13. He bailed at 1:00 AM, I give him a lot of credit for sticking it out that long though.
The concert also featured Fear Factory, Korn (before they were very popular) and Flotsam & Jetsam. Good times...good times....
I'm still into hard rock the most I guess - I'm just picky about what I listen to because I'm not into all the lyrics.

lately iv just been listening to rock(most subcategories) and Spanish music. I could go into more detail with the Spanish genres but i doubt anyone here listens to it as well...

I can find things to like in any genre. What I want to listen to changes with my mood and frame of mind. Island music with heavy steel drum seems to have taken hold of me latly. Hmmmm... I think I smell a vacation comming on!!!
