Whelp today is the day I stumbled across Bethesda\'s achievement list for the new highly anticipated Fallout 3 game set to release on October 28th of this year. Fans should be prepared for one wild ride through a post apocalyptic nightmare where fear and despair rule the land. It is a time where rival factions battle each other relentlessly for control of a city block made up of radioactive dirt. The world has gone to sh%t and now It is you, or them, and you will have to keep on your toes because death lurks around every mangled piece of steel, and pile of rubble. Scavenging for items to build weapons with will be your only means of survival, in the desolate wasteland you once called home. With 200 or so endings by the time the game is actually packed inside its plastic box, Fallout 3 looks like it will be one game to remember.

In an OMX Podcast, Todd Howard, one of the creators of Fallout 3 went on to say this about the game and multiple endings:
Being that we are Bethesdaeverything gets a bit big. So as of last week were over 200 endings. That is not an exaggeration, but it deserves some description. 200 endingsthats a lot. So originally when we started, we had various iterations of the ending. The ending is kind of cinematic, thats dynamic based on the things youve done.
When we started, it was kind of fuzzy, it was like well theres like 9 maybe 12″ and we started adding things to it. So if you had done this or not this, youd get this other tweak to the ending. And we kept doing that. And you know even just two weeks ago someone had this idea, Oh we should add this idea to the ending (sorry Im not going to spoil what that is). And I said, oh thats a genius idea, we have to do that. But then it became, oh, but theres four versions of that. So i was like, okay theres like four different versions of that part, and that multiplies by, at the time we were at about 60 endingsso now theres four versions of that, so now there are around 240 versions.
