Fable II Pub Games Glitch Intentional

Apparently, a well-known glitch in Fable II Pub Games XBLA title was not a glitch at all; in a 3-hour preview of Fable II, Peter Molyneux has stated that it was not a glitch at all, and that players who utilized this "glitch" would have a surprise waiting for them. Pretty crafty! From the review:

Buy the local bar and you can make beer free. No, you won't earn any cash, but the whole town will be sauced and everyone will love you. Ah, but how can you buy a bar so early in Fable II? Well, you can bring in your money from Fable II Pub Games. You may even have used the well-known cheat to earn your dough. Just be warned. Molyneux has said that the cheat was no accident and that those who used it to earn their money will be in for a surprise.

Interesting; apparently the glitch consisted of pressing the Right Bumper at particular times in order to increase your stakes for free. It will certainly be entertaining to see what the "surprise" will be. The entire IGN preview can be read here.

at this point, i don't know what i think. at first i thought it was just a glitch. then i (and others) started thinking they did it on purpose. NOW... i'm wondering if maybe peter's gonna' try and add his little "surprise" at the last minute because it WAS a mistake.

it was probably intended, but who knows.

Well It's a good thing I have 2 patrons with piles of gold!! My cheater has tons more though!!

Looks like my evil character will be picking up more hookers!!

This seems like they're blowing smoke up our A$$. Cause the update stopped the glitch from working on my game, I had to delete the updates from my HDD so I could do it again. So if it was intentional, why fix it?? And why not make it work for all the pub games and not just the tower?? I think its just an elaborate way of tryin' to cover a F**k Up by the developer.

how convenient that it was just one game... and as soon as peter says "we did it on purpose!" they go and take it out.

I never had the chance to do it...lol...I still havent played my PUB Games yet...lol

Even if it was an mistake on lionheads part...I think it is still pretty cool they are putting something extra in the game for those that used the glitched...I don't see the big deal because things like this happen all the time with other games....I can't wait to see what the "surprise" is.

I can't wait for this game in general

But what if you go to use that gold and you find out it's Fools gold and get put in jail. Wouldn't that be Funny. LoL!!!
