They should be allowed to play on a PC/360, whatever they choose. You're saying that achievement points that you get on a PC aren't the same on the Xbox? That doesn't make any sense. It's all the same.

Even though I didn't strive to win this, I don't think people who don't even post here should be allowed to join in the competitions (yes I know these competitions are also ways of gathering more people to join but it's not fair when you have all these random people come here for only the competitions and win but then don't stay active members)

I don't agree with you when you say that they should @least be signed up for a few weeks, so what if they're signed up? if they never post, make introductions or anything else.. why should they just come in sweep away the prizes and win competitions hosted by it's own active members that contribute greatly to help keep this community up and going?

I agree to a point. But when it comes to some games (Fallout 3 is a great example) you just bring up a menu and type in add achievements, and BAM! all of them are there just like that on your profile. You truly didnt even earn them. To some thats cool, but for a competition its wrong. Everyone might not be "PC savy" and be able to get games that have achievos on PC. So wouldnt be a lot more simple, fun, and just all around fair to keep the competitions on Xbox 360 games only? Thats my opinion. As far as what you saying about people joining who hardly even post, i completely agree.

i agree with the no pc rule. i for one dont even have a pc i own a mac. i think it just make it fair to only have 360 games bc everyone on here has a 360

IMHO, do away with these gamerscore competitions. Too much drama for such a great forum.

If we truly want to win competitions, how about tournaments and such, where we actually have to play a game that we all have, win and win and win, and the last person standing, gets an award!

The gamerscore competitions are just as fun as well as tournaments. Not everyone has the opportunity to get the same game as what is chosen for the tournament(s).. and I don't remember if you were here back when we actually had weekly/monthly tournaments for prizes but half the time people didn't even show up and it was such a disappointment. This way it gives everyone an equal opportunity.

true this.
i must admit that i've never actually participated in a prize tourney that i can remember, (basically because i don't own the games) but it's sad that people never showed up. i remember being in the chat when these events happened and someone would show up and be all like "hey come on it's game time!" hahahah. good times.

anyway, i do personally feel that these competitions are for the active members of the community. if someone joins the site just to win a MS point card, that upsets me. i don't strive to win, but it's still fun if it's legit.

gamesavers? BANNED
people with 0 posts? DENIED

shit.... even 1 post is being a tad lenient.
EDIT: just remembered. the ONE comp i did win, i played nba 2k6 offline. trying to sneak past mini's line of sight, hahaha. it worked too! but then again... i want my time stamps. waaaaaahhhhhhhhhh.

The thing that slips through everyone's radar is the weekly contest I won was the 4th fgc that I won. Everyone is quick to call out game saver instead of look at the facts. I don't always play online but any competition (except Hannah Montana Way back in #12) my achievements are time stamped and good to go. Ask orange or any one that followed my run through the 2 and a half days. I put up alot of points but I earned everyone of them. I Message orange to see if he needed help in any game because I didn't even weant to win. In fact ask Jackson I wanted to point card if I won to go to the next competition. Once the game saving comments came up I had no zest to even try to win. This site has alot of nice people who contribute but there is some people who are too quick to judge. The only way people can say I cheated is I needed to sink a 3 foot putt in tiger woods 08 for a couple of achievements and I waited 5 minutes till my score was locked in before I putted. Yeah that's almost as bvad as making a new gamertag.

Pure there is no way to make the gamerscore competition fair because anyone with a lower score has an advantage. Even a post count doesn't do much good because all you end up with is pointless threads and people answering themselves. The competition is only as fair as the people that are in it.

mike should have won the first one. he was over 6000 when he sent me a message sayin he was done. and if nasty wouldnt have come out of nowhere it would have been done that same day but i would have won. i litterally took 4 games back that i didnt even play bc nasty was already at 9600. i had incredible hulk, jumper, madden 06 (which i finally played recently), and i had CSI to finish up but i never did.

I don't think I'll ever begin policing an anti-gamesaving policy. I simply don't have the means to do it. If Microsoft resets someone's gamerscore, our information will be updated too.

I might put in a requirement of some community involvement.
