Via the folks at Infinity Ward who sent an e-mail out to all Beta participants from what I know tonight around 11:20 eastern time (At least that's when I got it)

Hey Everyone

Straight to the Point: The Level Cap Is Rising!

Friday morning at 10 am PDT (1 pm EST) were going to be increasing the Rank level cap to Level 16. This is going to allow you to rank up and unlock more weapons, more perks, and more features; including Clan Tags (lv. 12). This is the first of several level increases were going to do throughout the beta, so keep playing, and well keep you informed of incoming updates. Thanks to everyone currently playing for the tremendous amount of feedback weve been receiving; Keep sending it, and well see you online!

CoD4 is my game, and IW made it particularly to my liking only. Its perfect in my eyes, and I will honestly play it more than halo 3 probably.

I already achieved the highest rank and it only took me roughly an hour. They give alot of new challenges, the new pistol you get at 16 and the mini uzi as well. Clan tags come at level 12 too.

I hit the level cap. It's pretty quick and easy if you play for a few hours at a time.

Basically all the smg guns are lame. I love the people who use ACOG scopes on them. All 5 class builds I have are maxed out with the ak, m4 and 16, shotty and the RPD. These guns will get you 25-35 kills a game easy.

SMGs are lame in real life. They aren't that helpful. LMGs and HMGs are where it's at. Semi-Auto rifle is nice in the Overgrown map. I hate people who use shottys though repeatedly.

The AK I used to use all the time. Now I use the RPD and sniper and M4.
