Ted Thompson (Packers GM) is doing exactly what he needs to do with Farve right now and that is just let Farve whine and cry all he wants and stick to what he said about having Aaron Rogers start.

In all fareness, if Farve were to go to a different team, no one would remember it in a few years. When you think about Joe Montana, do you think of the 49ers or the Chiefs?

I just can't believe Favre is going on about how the Packers don't respect him and that he doesn't feel welcome anymore in Green Bay. He's to Green Bay as Pete Rose is to Cincinnati, Ken Griffey to Seattle, and Barry Bonds to San Francisco. There's always gonna be a place for 'em there.

Hooray for Jordan as a Wizard, Right?? RIGHT??
Thank god for Barry Sanders! He could've unretired and made an impact, but he said he was retiring and did it!! He was honest to himself, his team, and his fans!
Honesty in sports... how refreshing!

Barry Sanders was a perfect example...same with Michael Strahan, who I believe is a friend of Farves....maybe they should sit down and talk....

ya know I'm a Tennessee Titans fan and I'm from Wisconsin but I would love to see him come back just for one more year (with the Packers) just to see him add to his legacy.

Same here (but with the Carolina Panthers), I'm also from Wisconsin and raised as a Packer fan. I would love to see #4 come back for one more year with the Packers, but it's not going to happen. Ted Thompson put all his faith in Aaron Rogers, which may turn out to be a great thing. The only bad thing is if Farve were to come back, any mistake he makes with any team will make the press believe that he shouldve stayed in retirement. For instance, if Farve were to go to Tampa Bay (hopefully not) and throw 5 touchdowns for 650 yards with only 1 interception, the only thing you would hear about is the 1 interception. It happened all last year, and still is today. How many times have you heard about the interception he threw in the NFC Championship game as opposed to the 4000 yard season he had?
On the other hand, if and when Aaron Rogers starts, every little mistake he makes will have the media saying 'maybe Green Bay should have let Brett come back'. The Packers are litterly in a lose/lose situation when it comes to the press.

Well the 'divorce' is over. Brett Farve has been traded to the New York Jets. I never thought I would see #4 in a white and green jersy without a G on it.

Favre to the Jets, couldn't believe what I heard on ESPN News when I got home from work tonight, still really can't believe it and wish him the best and with him playing in my team's rival division well I look for him to be on his back alot more when Buffalo comes calling to the Meadowlands & back in Orchard Park...should be an interesting year as I thought the Jets & my Bills would give the Pats a run for their money in the AFC East.

Unfortunately for Favre and the Jets organization, I doubt that they will improve very much. The Jets are a rebuilding team and they are no where near where they need to be in order to compete with the Pats and Bills. Best of luck to him, but I think that this year will be the worst for Brett Favre.

and the madden curse continues, lol
Jets having Favre come with them might be there way of trying to rebuild the team....I doubt it will do any good though

The Madden curse isn't Favre being a Jet...although it should be! haha
Favre being there is just going to help the younger QBs learn from the greatest. Its a good move by the Jets, but a dumb one by Favre. I'm surprised that the Packers were able to get that good of a deal for him. We all know that Favre will take all the snaps that he can, so that's at least a 3rd round pick.
