Were have you people heard this stuff? I haven't heard anyting about Favre talking to anybody. But it really doesn't matter, if he comes out of retirement, he still has 2 years of his contract with the Packers. So, he'll need to opt out of the contract. But I think the Pack would rather see him go to a AFC team rather than a NFC team, but who knows.
I heard it on SportsCenter on the 2nd, they said Favre contacted the Packers about coming back.

I just read it on Sports Illustrated.com yesterday...see the post 3 above this one for a link to the article. It agrees with what MDub93 heard on Sports Center.

As I posted in the sports thread, he said he wants to play for the Vikings or the Buccaneers.

i didn't know that you posted that but i also didn't know favre stated any preferences/ideas in teams cuz nobody seems to be reporting that. a lot of hints at the vikings cuz of the staff but nobody even seems sure enough to start a rumor

Well the local sports radio station is saying that's who he'd prefer to play for. I dunno how true it is, but they are pretty reliable

Damn I didn't even see that, now come on, the Dolphins are worse than both the Lions and Bengals. Bengals do suck though...

Bengals are a decent team...just need some help on the offensive line and some help on defense. otherwise they aren't too bad

I can't believe that Brett is doing this. The Packers organization and there fans have done everything for him and this is how he repay them! By trying to make them look bad. Brett was always my fav qb and my favorite play, but I am Packers fan first and Brett is acting like a fuckin baby. I mean seriously, when he first wanted to come out of retirement the Packers offered to charter a flight done to Mississippi to be down there to welcome him back as their starter, but then he changed his mind yet again and wanted to stay retired, then a few months later he had the audacity to bad mouth the Packers! This pisses me off since it makes the Packers looks bad, and then on top of that you have the fuckin Vikings (ok, it was one of their coaches, but I'm piss let me have this!) edging Farve on. That's why I'm happy the Packers filed tampering charges against the Vikings (I'm assuming that their OC found out farve was thinking of a comeback and his feeling about the Pack and he was edging Farve on to ask to be released). But, that really doesn't matter the damage to himself and the Pack has been done

yeah the whole Brett Farve coming back and playing for another team just blows my mind....if the guy had any respect he would play for the Packers or not play at all. Why would you want to play for anybody else when you spent your entire 56 year career with the Packers?

Technically, he played with the falcons, but he rarely played. I agree though! It's the same with Emmit Smith and Jerry Rice. They also should have hung 'em up with the team that supported them through the bulk of their careers. Nobody should remember Favre as anything but a Packer.
