Arranging an XbA Community Playdate on xbox.com
10/02/09 9:52 pm | #1
I've been talking to Jackson and a few other members and I thought this could be an excellent way to bring more people into our community. I've sent several messages to xbox.com pertaining to setting up an event, but no luck yet. Hopefully with a little help from some of the members here we can get something started!
If you all don't mind, I'd like to organize this event. http://xboxamerica.com/social/events/Modern-Warfare-2-XbA-Community-Playdate
Here's the link if you'd like to email them - http://blogs.msdn.com/xboxvoices/

I think this is an awesome idea!
What game did you have in mind?

Honestly, I think we get to choose the game. I'm pretty certain there's a waiting list so we may be picking the title we'll be playing next year. If we could get one going sooner, I'd like to do some Modern Warfare 2 since I'm certain tons of people are picking it up.

Sounds cool. Modern Warfare 2 is cool but if we end up having to wait till sometime after the new year I'd vote for Bioshock 2 when they finally release it.

I'd be down woth some Modern Warfare 2 also, I think that would probably be the best choice to attract new members also....Nice idea guys.

I shot them a message as well.
I think MW2 would be a good choice, too. But I also agree with Irish that, if the playdate is late enough, BioShock 2 would be the bee's knees.

Thanks everyone for sending messages. The only thing I can think to do is to keep hitting them up. I'm sure they get thousands a day at least. I'll keep writing to them and we'll eventually get a Playdate setup. I'm effin' determined!
