It really depends on the model like my RE5 Red Elite(image below) is the most silent thing ever!!! And like what xXTime said, keep something under it to, so all vents are exposed. As you can see in my picture i have some old game cases that the xbox is sitting on(dont put anything directly under it, put it on the ends, that way the bottum of the xbox is not touch anything)

Well if it's running vertically then it will definitely run louder. Sometimes (only I haven't witnessed this with is the RE5 red elite which seams to have a tighter cut around the tray door) when games spin the disc tray door will vibrate against the case, that makes a pretty loud buzzing noise. Solution: install games to hard drive. It probably extends the life of the system quite a bit too, all those hours that would be spent spinning the disc and reading data are spared. While playing an installed or arcade game, my 'pro' console runs nearly silently.

Thanks, I'll try that. Hopefully it will quiet it down a lot.

right before my 360 died it was really loud.

mines very quiet. tbh, my comps tower is louder then my 360. specially when i gotta lot of stuff going on. liek when i have like 10 tabs up, on youtube, myspace im, etc lol

Lol, no, it's not that kind of thing. It red ringed last summer and he's too lazy to send it in to get it repaired. It's one of those things we keep meaning to do and put off. He can't order repairs online for some reason, so he has to call, and the hours the call center is based in the US are during our sleepy time, lol.
I can't wait to have 3 again! His, mine and Fuzzy's!

I thought so I was wondering since lady said its open during their sleepy time lol
also Zyget gets the waffle fries through a special field that only accepts waffle fries xD lol unless you want me to change it to the soul of all potato bi-products lol plus I really want some now
