Anyone here have an ipod?

i need help. cause my uncle got me an ipod for christmas, and ive been messing around with it

so i downloaded itunes, and when i plugged my ipod in it started syncing songs. supposedly it was syncing "every song and playlist" i had...

but it didnt sync any of the songs i ACTUALLY listen to, in my Shared folder for Limewire. it synced the My Music folder, and maybe some other one, but not my Shared folder w/ all my good songs (well it had like 1 or 2 from there, but i dont listen to them often)

is there any way i can get the Shared folder songs onto my ipod, without downloading them off itunes? like, should i put them in the My Music folder and sync my ipod again? or something?

I'm not sure exactly how to do it, but make sure that you have the latest version of iTunes and that all the songs you want on your iPod are in the Music section under Library.

you have to plug in your ipod, then go to music, and check selected playlists.

i think you have to migrate your "other" music into your library as the ipod will only sync what's in your library and the songs you want in their must not be de-selected. but i don't use limewire or am i fan of pirating stuff taco, to each his own but i buy all my stuff on itunes or transfer over from cd, i just think the artist deserves to get paid for their work and i respect that.

Heres what you do:

Put the iPod back in its case, return it to the store, and buy a zune. There ya go, your problem is solved.

no! apple is the best! zunes are lowsy! pc's also suck for the record, go apple or don't bother.

Ah to be young and naive... lol. I've had 6 iPods in my life, and then 1 magical day I found the Zune, and I will never go back Zunes are amazing. It's too bad Apple has like a monopoly on the mp3 player market. So many people will never get to trealize how amazing Zunes are.

i'm older than you dude and i have had 1 ipod all my life....1! i use it in construction, it get's dropped, dirty, you name it, never a problem and it's about 5 years old. for the record the nano's are pretty much bulletproof but if you get any mp3 player with an actual hard drive, it is going to be susceptible to crashing and more sensitive. i think mine only holds 500 songs,(old nano) and i haven't even got 400 songs on it yet. i guess there hasn't been 500 songs made yet that satisfy me!

omg i think i just figured it out =D

right clicked a song in my shared folder, and hit "open with" and selected itunes..

ok i cant highlight them all and open with, so ill just go through and find my more faved songs :yes:

Chillax... the young thing was just a joke, obviously I hit a nerve so I guess I'll say to be old and naive?

Anyway I don't buy an mp3 becuase of how well it can take damage but I can see why you would need it for your line of work, but as far as the quality of the device and the software (itunes sucks major ass) Zune wins.

i agree itunes is a little finicky when using it on a pc, but then again everything sucks a little more on a pc. seriously i have like 5 crashed, virused, expensive pc's sitting in my attic. since my mac, i have no issues (4 years) and itunes is already in your widgets and its real easy to use. i don't know why people buy pc's and use them for entertainment anyway, there main pur
