I gave this a try today. Both the credit.com and creditreport.com offer free trials and I have Black ops ordered now.
I'll post in here again when I receive the game, so far looks good
These are the 2 I plan to use as well. They both state that you have to keep it for most of the trial. How many days in advance is safe to cancel it? I see your 2/3, is 20 days good for the 30 day offers? Even if they say this?

I heard that just signing up for credit report sites makes your credit go down because if you're signing up, you must think it's bad... And that was from a lawyer.

It does, but only a point or so. ANY time you have your credit checked it goes down, including when you apply for a credit card, mortgage, loan. Pretty much anything. The only exception to this rule is say when a credit card company you already use checks your credit for an increase, there is some rule that prevents it from dinging your credit.
My credit is fair to good to begin with, getting dinged two points is worth it for a free game

My wife is a financial accountant...I consulted her before ever doing a credit one. I did them in groups. Any credit checks within a 1 week period count as just one check. Also in my two years I've done at least 4 of them and just bought a house and my credit score was outstanding.

Everyone I've talked to on CAG uses the 2/3 rule but you can't go wrong doing more. Just make sure you cancel in time. I just did one yesterday with a 30 day trial that yf360g.com said directly on their site you have to keep at least 10 days. I'm keeping it 20 just to be safe.

Do you create a referral account or a points account? I wasn't sure if the referral account still had these offers/opportunities.
Check out the second post in this thread for that answer. Short answer...it's up to you and you can change any time.

How many points do you need per game though? And is this a trusted site? I mean I'd trust it if Aj and Evil do! I just don't want to be scammed I'm poor enough as it is!

I don't trust it.

I would love to get free games but it's not worth losing money and being scammed! I mean besides mamba here nobody else seems to have used it or knows if it's legit. So until some of the more respected users of this site approves I think I'll pass.

Lol... I've been using it for 2+ years with not a single hiccup or unauthorized charge. The only way to lose out here is to not keep track of trial lengths and not cancel in time. Hence my earlier warning...if you can't keep track of them, this is not the site for you.
I haven't built up a good rep here to ruin it with this. If you don't believe me just wait for one of these other guys to get their game and report back. If they all just order black ops then we'll have to wait a few weeks but you'll see.
Either way. No one needs to do this site, so if you dont trust it that is totally fine. But when others prove it is legit in the next weeks I only ask that you don't downplay it any further.

Check out the first 2 posts for the basic info. That's one of the questions answered in post 2.

You do know there's an edit button, right?

I just did a quick google search on the site and I found quite a few reviews saying that it was a phishing site! So unless there is proof that it's 100% safe I'll pass. Thanks but no thanks.

It's a major pain when posting from my ipod and I don't trust it (that last part was a joke)

I totally understand you being hesitant and respect you for not jumping into something you don't trust. Keep an eye on this thread and see if you change your mind. If not, no big deal...keep on gaming!
