What browser are you using? I may have to take them down if you're experiencing that, but it really shouldn't be happening.
It uses javascript to create the ad so that the page loads, and then the ad loads.
Xbox America has been growing a lot in the past few months in traffic and we're likely going to need to move to a new host. This was an attempt at generating enough revenue to balance the increased costs when we move.

I haven't noticed any lag on the site as a whole since they went up, and I use primarily I.E. 6 during the day and I.E. 7 at night....
I did notice the ad having some issues last night though....

I've contacted AdBrite support, but for now I'll take the ads offline.

I can't even get the ad to work, it's just stuck in a loading screen. Not blowing my top here, just wanted to see if you guy's or anyone else was having some problems.

The ads are offline now. Nothing should be appearing.

I didn't want to hurt a good Idea. I would Love to help out the site. I watch the member List every day. I know the site is growing at a fast pace. One way to help would be those XBA shirts I was talking about a few months back. Everyone liked the Idea and were ready to buy. Also, is there a link to pay Pal for those of us who would like to donate a bit of Green. I see were some of us has donated before but I'm not sure were to do it.
I will help the site anyway I can, and ask that those that use this site to do like wise. It dosn't matter how much because it all adds up, and something is better than nothing.

I was having a little trouble with the ads as well, though not too much, using IE7. I like the T-Shirt idea; I'd buy a phat XbA shirt...maybe with my GamerTag on it. That would be sweet! I liked the idea with the ads; they were in a spot that was, for the most part, unobtrusive. They just took forever to load.

Ahem.
1) I have had no such problem.
2) All of you should use Firefox or be ashamed of yourselves.
3) If you choose to use IE like a complete uber noob, please do yourself the courtesy of getting Ad Muncher.
4) If you are a normal, intelligent person and use firefox, you should have downloaded the greatest add-on in existence, Ad-Block Plus. Which you can get here.
5) Welcome to a life of never seeing an ad or pop-up again.
