Ability to Cancel Events

Hey everyone,

You can now cancel your events through the 'Edit Event' screen. Notifications will be automatically sent to all the users who were confirmed attending or maybe attending.

In order to receive the notification, the "Receive notifications when an event I'm participating in is updated or about to occur." preference needs to be on. This is on by default and configurable in the User CP.

This feature was suggested by Minioger.

I figured this will make it easier for events to be cancelled instead of the event maker just not showing

Great idea, hopefully I won't ever have to use it for my own event though.

now we dont have to have events with eight people that all have cancelled or not attending next to their name

I like this idea, now if you could add the function I mentioned a while back about removing people from Events it would be great.

This would come in handy if you set the event for say, 6 people, and 3 cancel, you could remove them so 3 new people could join instead, that want to do it.

Know what I mean yo?

I believe the system only counts confirmed participants to the total. If there's a limit of 6 people to an event, and there are 5 confirmed, 3 maybes and 3 cancelled, the system should still allow another person to confirm.

oh wait, now that you mention it im getting pictures in my head about events iv seen with like 20 or so people in them cuz there were so many cancels
