I personally think this "drama" is a shame. We all gathered here to gain gamerscore and I did this as a way to best get me to my goals for the year and to encourage me to play. Yea there are some things that are whatever like last week's decision. But I am here and I aim to score as much as I can. When I first started this, I saw two things positively coming out of it. First, I wanted to see my friend and partner for this competition reach 100k. He lives near me and I did anticipate myself feeding him lots and lots of waffles to do that in order to keep our team alive.
During the course of this competition I have grown to respect quite a few of you. The MVP race has some great competitors in it. Mini, Circus, and Irish are 3 guys that I would love to try to pass in this competition for that MVP title only because of that respect.
Am I dropping out? No. Am I changing my strategy for how I am to handle this competition? No. I, like the Evols, thought it best to grab someone I could trust. We all did. We all chose partners. We all are here in this competition.
But to be frank, I am also looking ahead to the next GS competition for next year. I like this set up of a team battle but I think the next one needs to have its' rule decided about a month or so in advance and that it should ultimately not be 1 man leading it. Bongo has done a great job to try and be fair and handle all the criticism received during this competition.
Anyway, that paragraph above is next year. For now, let's just play. If you aren't happy with your place. Play harder. If you don't like your partner not playing... play harder and kick everyone's ass alone. But let's just do what we should all be focusing on... get gamerscore.
Anyway... I will step off this soapbox that suddenly popped up under my feet... I blame Brit for that soapbox. But yea, that's how I feel and just know that me and Termanater are winning this. You can take my word on that.

My turn on the "SoapBox".... You say the drama is a shame, then why do you throw around blame? I was merely informing the under-informed. I love how people come in here and write a book, about drama is a shame, well your words is what it took. This latest so-called drama, isnt drama, your making it into melodrama.Ok i'm done with that little quip. What was brought forth was not drama, it was concern. That concern was not answered therefore making a decision final for people to not wanting to be in this tournament anymore. I'm sure Melissa will attest to that. If you think there's too much "drama" for you, you can drop out. This is a Tournament, there is going to be drama. Especially when the people's voice's are being ignored. If you shall persist in the Tournament, and think it's drama, then don't comment on this kind of dialect and stay to talking about "getting gamerscore." In fact let's have a group discussion. Let's hear everyone's plans for getting gamerscore and winning this tournament. /End Speech *Kicks SoapBox back to Billy's feet.*

I was "breaking up" my text so as not to wall text, and so people could see each different part of the convo. Color coordination for the blind. LOL

There's really more to our decision than either of us really wants to explain in any more huge posts in this thread! All we want to say is that we have really enjoyed this competition, but the longer we hang around in it (as super competitive people) the better the chance we will not do what's best for our family and guests as a result.
If this competition happens again next year, we will be there, but life happens this year so we have chosen not to delay the inevitable. We could scrape by for the next few weeks by doing what Junior said, but in a month or two when you need to put up at least 1500-2000 to avoid a strike, we won't be able to game like that. We decided that out of respect for the teams who have a lot going on right now, we would give two free weeks too cool off before going back to waffling and that's why we're offline except for our phone games.
Best of luck to everyone!

Sorry Brit. I wasn't really intending to cause anything with us through that. I saw your post and the things that were going on lately and felt that I should try to get all of us back on track. As I was posting I felt that I was standing on a soapbox. So... I put on to act like it was you who magically placed it under my feet since I was sure you would probably call me on it.
But anyway, as per what I intend to do... I intend to gain points and boost what I can. The most unfortunate thing is that I am also concentrating on getting to 60% completion percentage for my games and some of them are rather "why did I play this again?" games.
