I agree.
The thing is that the teams that are truly competing hard every week really look forward the week that there is no strike as a "second to exhale," so to speak. Now it seems like we have wasted one of those opportunities for no reason.
The bottom line is that the scores should have been calculated from xbox.com from the beginning. That is where the scores come from, so just skip the middle man. If Bongo doesn't want to do the legwork, then he should have put everyone in the competition on his friends list or make a backup account just for everyone to friend for up to the minute scores.
So... I feel that Bongo needs to make the decision whether he wants to use up to the minute scoring from xbox.com or an XBL friends list from now on, (giving IrishSnapple a strike for the week) or decide to use whatever lag scoring system he was using from now on and everyone needs to be sure to have their points in by 11:00 PM Sunday night. (Thus giving this week's strike to KRob) I don't care, but we need consistency.
Personally, I think this week is perfect to establish the set-in-stone rules for scoring since it's not happening in the later weeks when it will count for something. I'm not trying to be an asshole here, but honestly this strike is either going to a team that wanted to quit completely a few weeks ago or a team where one member has been AWOL for quite some time.
Let's take care of this before it happens when it is between SilentTaker and BritOger for the championship.

Either way, I'm fine with whatever choice you decide. I feel there should be a strike every week no matter what the circumstances are, but sometimes flaws can happen I guess..
But what Melissa said, I can agree with you on everything except locking in on 11, I feel it starts at 12 and ends at 12.

That was me, not Melissa! lol
Also, I wasn't saying that we should end it at 11:00. What I was saying is that if Bongo (this IS his competition after all) decides to continue to use scores from wherever he is getting them, then all competitors will need to understand that some points they earn in a last minute cram session may not make it into the final tally for the week.
I also said that I personally would rather the scores come from xbox.com or XBL so they are as up to date as can be. In fairness, Bongo DID state that he will be getting scores that way from now on, but that would mean that IrishSnapple would be getting this week's strike as they were in last according to xbox.com at 12:00 Sunday night, but Bongo had Krob in last with scores that were AT LEAST 20 minutes behind.
inb4shitstorm
does it really matter that much?

Bongo, I think my team (Irish Snapple) should get the strike.
You said it yourself that according to xbox.com we would be last. Xbox.com is accurate plain and simple.
I have so much going on right now that I hardly play and Snapple is aware of my situation and we both had a good run but you should give us the strike. There is no point in delaying the inevitable and causing unnecessary drama.
I feel everybody would agree that the strike is on us.
Props and respect fo this. Any man who is willing to take a hit earns respect in my book.

Are you saying that you don't think it matters that the guy running this contest changes the rules for this week to avoid giving the strike to his "MVP pick" ?? Are you surprised that it matters to the people who actually are TRYING in the competition?
Look at it this way- no strike this week means no free week this quarter, or however the free weeks are spaced. Which means no break in 6 months for the people who are trying and are putting 1-2k in a week. Eventually people need to take a week off... if every week counts, it's a game changer to just not play for a week.
If he goes with billy's idea, and gives 2 people strikes next week, that's unfair to 1 team, who may be one who wasn't at the bottom this week and would have been fine next week if only the bottom team got a strike. Maybe both teams getting strikes next week weren't at the bottom this week. It CHANGES things, and that's not part of a FAIR contest.
Yeah, this is just a fun GS competition, but what's the point of trying if Bongo is going to change the rules so who he wants to win wins? The competition is supposed to be from midnight to midnight. KRob got her points in before midnight. I was on xbox.com at 11:30, and the scores were the same as the ones I posted- people weren't putting up hundreds of points between 11:30 and midnight- the scores Bongo used were WELL over 1/2 an hour delayed. You guys (Irish and Snapple) didn't give a shit all week, didn't put up the score, and should get a strike. So YES. It matters. If Bongo is only going to 1/2 ass running this, then he should find someone else to do it who will actually be able to get the scores at midnight.
First mister Evol is lucky to have you the way you stand up and all.
Second, not in your words, i agree with you.

This. I worked my ass off to get 1500 this week and that's WITH writing a term paper and going to physical therapy. I'm beyond mad at this.
