10 Most Played Games

Using the updates I've been making to the automated script that runs every 15 minutes, I have a bunch of new data and toys to play with. For one, I can see which games are the 5 last played by each user. Here is the top 10 totals per game for Xbox Ohio as of 04/18/2006 10:30:26 PM:

G.R.A.W. (42)
Oblivion (38)
Call of Duty 2 (33)
PGR 3 (20)
Perfect Dark Zero (18)
EA SPORTS FN 3 (17)
Geometry Wars Evolved (17)
Hexic HD (15)
NFS Most Wanted (12)
Bankshot Billiards 2 (12)

Dynamic List

Another tidbit of information, Call of Duty 2 is the most viewed game in the Game Library.

cool the only thing I dont like about it is that PDZ is up on the top 10 played list and PDZ is the worst game ever!! well thats what I think :D

Edit: oops the only reason that PDZ is on my last 5 games played list, is that my little brother got on the 360, that was not me playing that game

Oh, and Call of Duty 2 is the most viewed game in the game library.

Not yet. I'm pretty sure they are tapped into Microsoft's database through a xml feed. Major Nelson mentioned the Xbox.com Community Developer Program once on his podcast and blog. On this page, Top360Tag.com is featured on the right.

I suppose I should try applying for the program, but I'm doubtful that I'd get accepted. I only have about 2 years experience, and this is my first really successful web project. Plus, I'm 15, which many adults see as synonymous with immaturity. Not to mention, I can't be a part of binding contracts.

top360tag isn't as accurate as Xbox.com or mygamercard.net (many people have complained about this). For example, I should be higher in the racing ranks if they added up my points correctly;)

I think that is just due to them not using the data in the best possible way, but I'm pretty sure they are getting the xml feed.

Way back I emailed them asking about it but they could only say they use regular expressions to grab the data off pages on xbox.com.

My brother has PDZ, and I've played it a few times on his 360. I've seen a bunch of people say they don't like it. I know I'm gonna hear it for this, but I think it is more fun then Ghost Recon.

I just checked the dynamic list, and oblivion has tied with GRAW.

Look at the top360tag Oblivion page

It says 5655 gamers have beaten the game... but yet only 267 have the champion of cryodiil achievement. It also doesn't make sense that of 134,551 gamers having played the game that only 9,178 have escaped from the sewers.

I'm not sure how accurate top360tag is with anything.
