Telltale's Walking Dead Retail Release Delayed

Retailing December 11th

For those of you, like me, who have held off on spending precious Microsoft Points to own each episode of Telltale's Walking Dead in anticipation of a full retail release, it looks like you will have to wait a little longer. One week, in fact, as the new release date is not today, but December 11th.

I'm anxious to get my hands on this, as I've heard from just about everyone about how good it is. Well, what's one more week then, right? The regular release will retail with a MSRP of $29.99, while the Gamestop exclusive collector's edition will run you a hefty $69.99.

Part of my old school being likes a physical disc... Santa's dropping this in my daughters stocking.

But really, if achievements don't stack (they don't, do they?) I wouldn't even bother if my kid didn't wanna pass it around to her friends.

I am also one of the ones holding out for a retail release, but that is stupid that it is more expensive.

Maybe I'll just wait until one or more of the DLC ones go on sale then buy all the eps at once.

I don't believe so; it seems like it acts just like the XBLA compilation discs, not a separate game. No telling for sure until someone plays, though. I actually did not realize that the retail version was more expensive. I do like the thought of owning a physical disc, opposed to intangible virtual content. That being said, I have a feeling the retail version will go on sale for sub $20 faster than all the DLC episodes.
