Just out of curiosity I’ve avoided any and all spoilers when it comes to the ending(haven’t finished it), so my question is, is it really worth all the craziness. Does it really need it own special ending? Or does the ending require you to fill in some of the blanks?

Most people's complaint with the ending was that, no matter which of the 3 you chose, it meant pretty much all of the critical decisions you had made through the trilogy meant nothing and you were just picking a bad ending right there.
Now me personally, the ending I chose of the original 3 made perfect sense to me and closed out the series well, and I feel like they didn't really need to go back and explain more.
BUT, with that being said, I know a lot of folks that had been going full Paragon through the games wanted a little more satisfactory end that fit with their character, but the sad part is, from what I have read of the EC stuff, it still doesn't fit what the complaining fans wanted.
The EC overall sounds like sort of a late band-aid that doesn't fit the wound anyway.
