I had no idea that there were other services besides Netflix, BB + Gamefly; apparently there are a bunch of smaller 'disc by mail' services. They were all getting screwed. Good for Gamefly.

Good to know. I have been looking at Gamefly for a few weeks, ever since Blockbuster went bankrupt and closed the stores in my area. There is no available outfitter to rent video games from near my locale. So, time to consider available alternatives.

Believe it or not I have never had a problem with gamefly and broken discs on the other hand almost every other disc from netflix was too damaged to watch or broken. In about two month time span I had recieved almost three broken discs.

We've used GF and Blockbuster for years. Netflix we added this year and I have to say the service by GF is the slowest by far. I got so annoyed by it, that I cut my subscription back from 4 to 2 at a time earlier this year. This Postal Service change may help, but I'm taking a wait an see stance on this until their turn around times improve dramatically.

Yes, they have gotten horrible. I rent three at a time and at least one is so scratched up. I have received numerous credits from Netflix for my inconvience on that matter.

I just got finished talking to my mom on the subject and apparently her post office in Nice (pronounced niece) has always put them in the "Hand Sort box". Then again they aren't the only Post office in the US, but all of her other Post office friends in who work in other Post office all do the same too. I also asked why they might want to charge for GF rather then BB, NF and she mentioned that they are bigger then both of them. The sleeves don't fit, easily, in a regular P.O Box. It makes kinda sense that they would charge for something that is bigger. They must've had one hell of a lawyer or a lenient judge for them to win. Doesn't effect me much though, I haven't used GF in years because it takes four days here, and four days back. Hopefully they will put a shipping center in San Francisco someday.

I understand that they have in in LA, that is why it takes four days one way. If Netflix can have 6 in California alone, then GF should at the very least have two. I'm not expecting miracles, I know it's probably gonna be a while for them to do it, if they ever do it. I know I won't subscribe back to them until then. I'm not gonna pay however much they want now per month and only receive 2 or 3 games a month and thats if I only keep it one day, which more then likely I wouldn't.

My friend subscribes to try games out and he ended up canceling his subscription because of broken disks or scratched disks. Honestly every time he said he was getting a certain game he got it. Never once did he complain about late delivery. Maybe he was just lucky??

Maybe this will help them fix their shitty service.
Yes, I would like to wait less than a week to get my next game.
I renewed GF recently because the nearest rental store is 45 minutes away. I had it years ago but they kicked me to the curb. My discs kept getting stolen in transit and they blamed me.
