Mass Effect 2 a timed exclusive?
News | March 14, 2008 2:47 pm
Did you think that after EA acquired BioWare that Mass Effect and it's sequels would be ported to as many consoles as possible to make EA more money. If so you were half right to think so. As it turns out when Mass Effect 2 rolls around it'll end up being a timed exclusive "For the time being, Mass Effect 2 will be launched as an exclusive Xbox 360 title", said BioWare senior manager Matt Atwood in an interview with computerandvideogames.com. But given recent comments made by Atwood all that could change "I believe we'll be Xbox 360 exclusive for at least a short period of time," Atwood said. "We're still working out the details on that, but we've had a great relationship with Microsoft and done very well."
All of this has yet to be confirmed or denied my Microsoft, although Atwood is certain a PC version for ME2 is almost inevitable,
"I think you'll see a PC version not too far away," Atwood said. "We haven't solidified the plans yet but we're headed in the direction where we want to be as close as possible [on PC],"
So my question is would you rather buy ME for your 360 or the PC or both if BioWare adds new content to the PC version like Epic Games did with Gears of War with no plans to port that content to the consoles?
