BEST BUY to Sponsor G3: Games, Gear and Gadget College Tour
New Spring Games from EA Sports, Xbox 360, Sierra, UbiSoft, THQ, Midway and Konami
SAUSALITO, Calif. --(Business Wire)-- Mar. 28, 2008 The country's premier video game tour, GAME U, is launching an exciting new Spring Tour - G3: Games, Gear and Gadgets. Over the next six weeks, the National Tour, which is presented by Best Buy and hosted by Motorola, is expected to reach 40,000+ videogame enthusiasts at 20 major colleges and universities. The game technology tour will be featuring the latest new video games, game technology and digital music. Apple is also a sponsor with new iPOD and iMac products available to the students.
The 08 College Tour, Game U's 7th to date, will showcase the Best Buy Plasma Lounge & Cyber Laptop Bar with interactive demonstrations and competitive gaming competitions. As a National technology tour sponsor, Motorola will be demonstrating their MOTOROKRTM S9 stereo Bluetooth headphones and the new MOTOROKRTM T505 in-car speakerphone and digital FM transmitter in a unique MOTOPLAY environment, Motorola's Wireless Bluetooth Experience. Motorola will be staging interactive competitions within their environment, including: Competitions with Guitar Hero III: Legends of Rock on Xbox 360 and a Blue Tooth 'Name that Tune' Challenge, giving away Motorola Bluetooth Music Packages and assorted prizes. In a return engagement, The Official Xbox Magazine is sponsoring a Halo 3 Challenge which will be staged in a newly created Xbox 360 Arena - a One to One Halo 3 'Winner Take All' match with unique game prizes at each stop.
GAME U reaches the core of the young adult game-playing audience - college students. These early adopters and game enthusiasts will get the first opportunity to play several newly released titles on Tour.
The Tour will be featuring the top tier of Spring titles from: EA SPORTS - Army of Two(TM), NFL Tour and NCAA(R) March Madness 08. Ubisoft will have the highly anticipated Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six: Las Vegas 2. Midway will be showcasing NBA Ballers(R): Chosen One(TM) and TNA iMPACT!(TM). Sierra Entertainment will feature the soon to be released The Bourne Conspiracy based on the hit film trilogy. From Konami Digital Entertainment: Pro Evolution Soccer(TM) 2008, Silent Hill Origins and Target Terror. THQ will be featuring the highly popular Frontlines: Fuel of War title. Xbox will have Mass Effect, Halo 3 and the acclaimed Lost Odyssey. The games will be displayed on more than 30+ Sharp Aquos HD LCD Televisions.

This omnibus live event will be the 17th national tour produced by Game Live Events. The last presentation was in the Fall of '07 - a huge hit among videogame publishers, consumer marketers and thousands of student gamers.
