This is not about a war (Like DA1) it's about one man/woman's rise to be the greatest warrior in the DA world. You can't really compare the two as they are a different kind of experience. DA II does however have far superior combat.

Well, I gotta say as much as I enjoy the game (which is plenty-it's a lot better than Origins), Leo makes a very valid point. The story is strung together very loosely by sidequests and the characters really have no true reason to join or stay on the party.

Two steps forward, three steps back....

If you love DA2s story, you're not playing DA2, as it has no story. You're basically doing side quests the whole game. The lack of personality in the characters makes them seem like a random assortment of misfits, no real story to them. In Origins, everyone had a reason for joining (except Sten and Zevron, saved/spared them so they join), on 2 they just join. If you like the "story" get Mercenaries 2, basically the same idea.

Mediocre/Average game at best. No where near as well done as the first.
