Borderlands Underdome DLC Review

From what I remember , the first time I ever experienced a game type with mass amounts of enemies that you must kill only to come back stronger the next time was Gears of War 2 with its Horde Mode. After that I remember following up with Halo 3: ODST's firefight mode where the concept was basically the same. Now we have the Underdome ... yay ?
Borderlands is an amazing game , I don't know if there was a previous review about it , but IMO the game in itself deserves a 9, the millions of weapons that are possible in the game and the fact you can play co-op, it was basically Fallout 3 with multiplayer which was awesome. Gearbox definitely did good work when making the game. The first DLC, Zombie Island starting Dr. Ned whom had no relation to Dr. Zed , was a good and a funny DLC which added quests and its own little side story for players to enjoy and laugh about. You see pumpkins with mustaches everywhere to match Dr.Ze - err , Ned's mustache. So of course with the previous accomplishments of Gearbox we had high expectations with Underdome.
If your like my friend, you were probably lured by Mad Moxxi's cleavage and wanted to know more of a back story about her ... but unfortunately there is none. The DLC starts with a small cutscene with Mad Moxxi talking about her previous husbands and how everyone loves her, etc. etc., she's self centered, we get it. Afterward you're in a room composed of a Bounty board with one quest and 3 portals to different arenas, the quest is to beat the 3 arenas which are all 5 rounds with 5 waves of enemies per round. Afterward completing the 3 arenas you open up a room to the same arenas except they have 20 rounds with 5 waves each, so you can only imagine how boring this will get. Also as the waves progress you have to abide by special rules Moxxi creates, rules that could vary from your shield being gone, the enemies are stronger, only certain weapons will do any significant damage, etc.
Mad Moxxi's role is the announcer of all the arenas you play in, she comments on how your doing with dirty naughty metaphors, however that's all she does and she uses the same lines over and over again so after the 3rd round of your Underdome experience you may want to mute your TV. Now you think after completing the 1 bounty board quest and the 3 bigger arenas you might get something in relation to Moxxi ... you dont , shes just an annoying announcer.
Achievement Wise ... Very LONG , very boring. But if your a completionist like me and you want to know the easiest way, well your going to have to do this with a team, preferably a team of the full 4. Have the host start the DLC with his lowest level character, like a level 12 , have the host invite everyone and start the Underdome , this way all the enemies appear at the host's level instead of level 50 where they will bend you over and shoot you in the buttcrack. This will take you about a full day of playing , maybe even more
To sum EVERYTHING up , Underdome is a rip off of Horde and Firefight , granted it can be fun at first but even the biggest of fans will get tired of it and all of Mad Moxxi's talking. Unless you HAVE to have 1250/1250 in Borderlands ... then don't waste your Microsoft points.

This DLC sucks so much ass!!! Congrats to Gearbox for making a meh game into a total piece of crap. I want my points back.
