Tekken 6 Game Review!

Tekken, one of the worlds first 3D fighters to ever be released has now made its way to the Xbox 360, with it sixth installment of the series! You have 40 characters to choose from and one big and nasty boss named Azazel. The game is huge with its new Scenario Campaign mode (previously known as Tekken Force Mode). With character customization now available for your favorite characters, what could this game possibly not offer!?
Graphics/Visuals - Tekken 6, sports some very nice environment details. The different arenas you can battle it out in are very unique and sport many different visuals. The new "Tiers" in levels add even more curiosity to the player as you smash your opponent to the ground, and you find yourself falling to a whole new area. The character models look great, but can look jagged at times. In the Scenario campaign, each level is different, and has its own perks and looks as you travel through each area, and they look good and it plays very smooth. I do not think I ever lost 60FPS during this game, it always kept clean and moved fast. The user customization for all the characters adds a new dimension to the game. The many costumes, and equipment you can add to one player, is huge, making each custom character unique in look.
Sound/Music - Tekken 6, has the same mixture of action packed music, and almost the same sounding hits. Nothing has really changed in this department from previous installments. The voiceovers and action in Scenario Mode, is what give the game anything to shine in this area. The voices are done correctly, per each fighters origin, ie. Japanese fighters speak Japanese, as Americans speak English. Other than that, nothing really to boast here.
Controls - Well if you were used to spamming with Eddy/Christie, like I was, too bad. Lots of the moves sets have changed, and you will find yourself, doing something you did not intend to do, and end up losing a round or luckily winning one, lol. Scenario mode, has a pretty good control setup. Some folks rush in and only use the left stick to move around and fight, but in reality the game was made to use the LS to move around freely and the D-Pad to fight in combat. Nothing to really curse about here, as it does well.
Achievements - The game has a decent amount of achievements, but the majority of them are focused on the Scenario Mode but some are also online based. Some of the achieves, are also dang hard to complete, as some will find out when fighting NANCY or trying to beat some of the more difficult hidden levels on Scenario Mode. Make sure your difficulty is on Easy unlike me who did all the fighting on Ultra Hard like a Moron, and you will have no issues getting the 1K. Take between 9-12hrs to complete depending on skill.
Replay Value - Come on, It is Tekken! You will always find yourself coming back to battle buddies at home, or find someone online to duke it out with. The game in its own right is a classic and will always be here to stay on the XBOX 360 from now on!
Overall - The game is a great game, it does have some flaws in the AI engine, as I think Azazel and some of the missions on Scenario mode are a pain the butt to finish off. Also juggling can be a pain in the butt if your on the receiving end. I enjoyed every bit of it, but do wish they would have put towards more effort into the CGI endings and the scenario mode. By the way, make sure and beat the game with Armor King, Marduk, and King, as I think they have the best endings in the game!
