The final Keynote of CES by Bill Gates as acting head of Microsoft was pretty tame. I think everyone was expecting a major announcement that would be earth-shattering or innovative. What we got was some self-parody, updates on previously announced items (Surface, Xbox 360 IPTV in Europe and the Synch system for cars). There was little new items for the gaming side of the house, but we did learn that ABC and Disney shows and MGM Films to will be coming to the Xbox Live Video Marketplace. Oh yeah, Bill Gates and Robbie Bach had a Guitar Hero III challenge going, with each producing a ringer. Bach brought out Kelly Layone and Bill Brought out Slash. Guess who won ;-)
Probably the best part of the Keynote was hanging out with Chris Paladino and Tony Hynes of Gamerscoreblog and Peter Toledo of Gamertag radio. Did I mention that Jeff Bell was sitting directly in front of me? Check out some images from the Keynote at the bottom of the Article post.
