Well, we all know Bioware is making ME 3, but it seems like EA accidentally put it up for pre-order on it's store early. So I think it's safe to say the the big Bioware announcement on the VGA's is going to be ME 3. But the leak gives us some insight on what the plot will be about.

Boy oh boy I sure am looking forward to this. Mass Effect has been my favourite new, next gen RPG-ish game. 1 was really fresh and good, and 2 improved on it in nearly every way.

I personally think multiplayer would be a horrible idea for ME 3. The whole series is about your Shepard and the way you want the story to unfold, it just feels wrong to me to add a multiplayer component to a series that became what it is for being a single player game with a strong story. And besides, why does everyone think that every game now-a-day's need multiplayer? To me it nice to play a game that focuses more on a good single player, then having most of the focus be on multiplayer.

Anyways, found this charting the plot points for ME 3 on ign, good article.

Yeah Zu I totally agree, all my favorite games (Half Life 2, Mass Effect, God of War, Fallout, the first Bioshock) are all single-player only games. Multiplayer games can have great single player campaigns as well (Gears of War) but the absence of multiplayer really lets the single player stand out so much more.

I dunno, I think they did ok with BioShock 2, and then AC Brotherhood the MP is actually really fucking cool.

I would at least maybe like to see co-op-able quests in the ME game engine.

Well, for the most part, Bioware's RPG's have been single-player thus far, and they've all pretty much been badass. From Baldur's Gate to KoToR, Jade Empire, Dragon Age, and Mass Effect, their games have been able to shine on through as amazing with great stories and gameplay because they didn't have to spend time worrying about the multiplayer. Their sole focus on single-player has proved well in the past and while I don't see them making Mass Effect 3 mulit-player, I feel it would indeed take away a bit from the series we've all come to love.

All this multiplayer talk about ME 3 reminded me of something I saw on ign that I completely agreed with
