Game of Thrones

Sean Bean (Lord of the Rings) as Eddard (Ned) Stark
Lena Headey (Sarah Connor Chronicles) as Queen Cersei
Emilia Clarke as Daenerys (Dany) Targaryan
The highly anticipated new series premieres tonight on HBO at 9EST. Based on the first book of George R.R. Martin's epic fantasy saga, A Song of Ice & Fire, the first season consists of ten episodes and they plan to devote a whole season to each book in the series as long as HBO renews it. This has easily been my most anticipated show in recent memory and I know I'm not the only one here looking forward to it. I've only read the first book so far but it has become one of my favorite series, joining the likes of The Wheel of Time, Lord of the Rings and The Dark Tower. I'm eagerly awaiting the arrival of Book Two, A Clash of Kings, which I should be getting in the mail this week. The show looks to be epic.

This.
I think I stopped after the third book in the series. Not sure why, it was great. Might have been a Wheel of Time book coming out that distracted me
I have to say for the first time in many many years I'm upset I don't have cable and HBO

For some reason, I got HBO on Dish Network. Don't know why, I'm sure it's for a limited time, but this is getting DVR'd for sure tonight.

Man I love Lena Headey, and the girl they got to play Daenerys is hot. Someone buy me an HBO or record these for me.
I stopped at the third book too and can't remember why, but I enjoyed them a lot.

It was fan-fucking-tastic!
I had a sneaky feeling that's right where they would end the first episode.
